Prescription Fraud Prevention

We have been informed that Atlanta television station WSB will air a story tonight (2/21) on drug addicts harming their pets in order to obtain prescription medication for themselves. While animal abuse is a matter for local animal control or law enforcement, because controlled substances are involved, cases such as this should be reported to the Georgia Drugs and Narcotics Agency. Click here or call 800-656-6568 for more information.

Resources for preventing prescription fraud:

Search the patients prescription history with GA PmP, (Georgia Prescription Monitoring Program)
